![]() While it's not your usual Optimus, it's just so understandable as to why he would end up behaving out of his usual character, even down to the point where his trust isn't even fully restored by the end of the film and strangely enough.I liked that. ![]() Human greed to build an automated army of human controlled Transformers led to the merciless killings of the very people that helped him. "I vowed never to kill a human, but whoever is responsible for this is going to die.". ![]() Especially when he says to Cade that they would help the Human's one last time and after that they would be leaving and never coming back, or the better example earlier than that when he says. It's taken it's toll and it definitely shows that Prime's trust in humanity has seemingly crumbled. We've gone through three movies now where the Humans violate the Transformers' trust and takes their acts of defense for granted. I couldn't imagine Optimus taking that much damage and not being at least slightly shaken by what he had seen before. While yes, it wasn't too "Optimus Prime, one at peace with and savior of the galaxy", it made a decent amount of sense. He at least hurt him bad enough to render him practically dead or unconscious to the point that even while gravely injured he freaks out enough upon being resuscitated and starts to threaten Cade, Tessa, and Lucas. ![]() ![]() Hence, that distress beacon telling the other hiding autobot to cut off human contact due to Prime basically walking or riding into an ambush orchestrated by humans to allow Lockdown to kill him, which he almost successfully did. He knew that the humans were working with the Decepticons and effectively hunting them down. The humans were basically the distraction Lockdown needed to fire one of those big as sniper rifle missiles from is face without fail. But the ones after him were the humans in tandem with a Deception. ![]()
